Dalia received a BA in Political Science with a concentration in racial and ethnic politics from UCLA in 2014. Although she was raised in a Christian household, it wasn’t until after college that Dalia truly surrendered her life to God. It was then that she felt a strong call to ministry and started serving in the youth ministry at her church, Nuevo Renacer. In 2018, feeling she needed formal ministry training, she began her seminary education at Azusa Pacific University. There, she interned with the Office of Campus Ministry as a grad intern serving with the chapel, pastoral care, and discipleship teams. It was during this time that Dalia discovered the joy of mentoring and how conversations could help people decipher what is on their hearts and minds and bring clarity and purpose. In 2021, she graduated with a Master of Divinity.Â
She is currently serving at her church with the young adults and is on the preaching team. As part of a Latino church and having learned about racial and ethnic disparities during her time at UCLA, it is on Dalia’s heart to see Spanish-speaking churches resourced with ministry materials. In her spare time, Dalia delights in being in nature, whether it is an early morning walk or biking, and having rich conversations with friends.Â
