Stella was born in Hong Kong and her family immigrated to San Francisco when she was 9 years old. Stella was raised bi-culturally in the faith at The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, where God formed in her a heart for youth, college/young adults, worship, and mission ministries. Stella attended UC Davis and studied Economics and Communication. She worked in the corporate setting for 10 years before accepting Godâs call to move to Southern California in 2014 to attend Azusa Pacific Seminary. Stella graduated in Spring 2016 with a M.A. in Pastoral Studies with an emphasis in Church Leadership and Development.
Stella has served as a Mission Director with LINC Los Angeles for a local Lutheran Church in Temple City for 2 years. She also served as Associate City Director for 2 years before LINC Los Angeles was renamed LINC SoCal in light of LINCâs broader presence in the area and Stella was named City Director at the end of 2019. Stella loves intentional friendships over table fellowship so you will always find her eating and/or having boba with friends. If you love food and boba, reach out to Stella! Stella and her husband Ron both enjoy traveling, hiking, meeting up with friends, and exploring different cities.
âI love and treasure intentional relationships cross culturally. I experienced first hand life-on-life discipleship and empowerment, being mentored in my faith through trusted and safe friendships. This has had a positive and lasting impact on my life and work. My heart for ministry is to continue to be a voice of influence, giving hope to others in our relationship as followers of Jesus and empowering people to experience true joy and abundance when they live in their true purpose.”
