Jonathan is originally from the beautiful state of Kansas (there’s no place like home!). He met the love of his life, Melissa, while attending Concordia University in Nebraska for his BA degree in Theology, and after completing his Masters of Divinity degree in St. Louis he and Melissa had their four children – Benjamin, Hannah, Alexandra, and James. 

Jonathan has been a pastor for over 16 years in various contexts including college campus ministries, church plants, and elementary through high school ministries. After Jonathan finished his Doctor of Ministry degree at Fuller Theological Seminary in 2020, he found a passion for life coaching and became a certified life coach in 2022. Currently, Jonathan serves as a full time professor of theology at Concordia University in Irvine, CA.
