Lexi joined the LINC family in 2020. She grew up in Chicago, developing a deep love for God and His people. For years Lexi was surrounded by loving, devoted ministry leaders who helped anchor neighborhoods and families to life in Christ, which inspired Lexi to serve along with them.
Lexiâs Bachelorâs degree in elementary education from Valparaiso University and her Masterâs degree in clinical mental health from Roosevelt University have led her to teaching in the classroom, serving as an outreach director, providing support and care to individuals experiencing unplanned pregnancies in Chicagoâs South Loop and on Chicagoâs west side, as well as other leadership roles. During her time teaching in Arlington Heights, IL, Lexiâs mission work also lead her to begin mentorship in human trafficking prevention and restoration programs in Chicagoland and Guatemala. During her work there, Lexi also worked part-time for Alexian Brothers Hospital in the Emergency Department in the area of crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
In 2018, God called her into a new role, bringing her back to urban ministry in Milwaukee serving the refugee community and students experiencing high amounts of trauma. Through the years God has blessed Lexi with His relentless love and goodness, and has given her opportunities to serve with faithful and talented people. She is thrilled to begin this new season at LINC Chicago.
